How to update a product demo after a UI change

Demos go stale the moment you ship. The fix is making updates cheap enough that nobody dreads them.

Short answer

Re-record the affected steps, delete the outdated ones, reorder if needed, and republish — the shared link stays the same.

Steps

  1. 1Identify the changed screensPlay the demo and note which steps no longer match the live product.
  2. 2Capture the flowOpen the InstaDemo sandbox, paste the page URL, and click the elements you want to demo, in order. Each click is captured as a step with the exact viewport state at that moment.
  3. 3Delete and reorderRemove outdated steps and drag the new ones into position. Everything autosaves.

Do I need an account to update a demo?

How long does this take?
